Quick And Easy Chai Cider
As the leaves began to turn color and paint the hillsides, it’s a perfect time to enjoy a hot cup of spiced tea, and we think our Qi Chai Honey Tea is just the thing. A delicious blend of traditional Indian spices, and delightful as a hot or latté drink. Our Qi Chai is also a flavorful ingredient in cooking. We offer this fall recipe as a starting point. Enjoy. A stick of cinnamon and a topping of whipping cream dusted with nutmeg makes it a truly gourmet drink
Chai Apple Pie
An easy recipe. Simply substitute our Qi Chai Honey Tea for spices and sugar in your favorite apple pie recipe. Add sufficient Qi Chai Honey Tea to coast sliced apples, stir mixture and fill pie crust, top and bake. The natural sweetness of the honey combined with the infused spices will do the rest.
Apple Chai Spiced Cupcakes
2 cups – unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon – baking soda
1/2 teaspoon – baking powder
1/2 teaspoon – salt
3/4 cup – applesauce
1/4 cup – buttermilk
1/2 cup – butter, softened
1/2 cup – Zen Bear Qi Chai Honey Tea
2 large – eggs
Preheat oven to 350° F. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. In a liquid measure, combine applesauce and buttermilk; set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream butter until fluffy. Add Qi Chai Honey Tea; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add half of the reserved dry ingredients to the butter mixture; mix on low until just combined. With mixer running on low, slowly add the applesauce mixture. Add remaining dry ingredients until just combined. Fill paper-lined muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of a muffin comes out clean. Remove to wire rack; cool. Frost if desired.
